THE BERIMBAU-UNGU PROJECT Gama, Kituxi, Inô, Vasconcelos
PERFORMING
The performances of Pangeia Instrumentos and Victor Gama are cross-border and exploratory with a strong visual component. They have been staged from large scale halls to smaller more intimate venues. Last summer Gama has presented his solo performance with the Pangeia Instrumentos in Canada at the Harbourfront Centre integrated in the festival All Over The Map: The Language of Music. In New York he has collaborated with Wiilliam Parker and Gullermo E. Brown at Tonic and Galapagos. He was commissioned by The Tenment Museum to record and perform a work for the Folk Songs for the Five Points project initiated by David Gunn. In Portugal he's been at the brand new and architectural master piece Teatro Municipal da Guarda and toured the north of the country during the Sons em Trânsito Festival.
